A Noise Beast is a form of music that becomes corrupted when entering the human world. Noise Beasts are the initial source of [[The Silencing]]; they would be attracted to sources of music in the human world and attack. When a Noise Beast attacks, time will appear to slow, and it will appear through cracks in the air.

Noise Beasts are concepts more than anything, and so operate in "conceptual time"; essentially moving at the speed of light. Without a [[The NOISZ|NOISZ]], it is not possible to combat a Noise Beast. With a NOISZ, a user can enter conceptual time themselves and battle the Noise Beast, even becoming concepts themselves in some cases.<ref>[[NOISZ STΔRLIVHT]] - [[NOISZ STΔRLIVHT/Story/Chapter 1.IV|Chapter 1.IV]]</ref>

Noise Beasts reside in the [[World of Music]]. If the barrier between worlds is weakened, they may make their way through. This requires passing through [[the Void]], which will corrupt a Noise Beast, causing it to become hostile when manifesting in the human world. However, Noise Beasts can be purified and stabilized using the NOISZ (though, [[The NOISZ#NOISZ/RS|the NOISZ/RS]] sends them back to the World of Music immediately rather then stabilize them in the human world). A Noise Beast will eventually regenerate it's power and regain access to it's conceptual form after being purified by the NOISZ.
