STΔRLIVHT discusses the new song they've been commissioned to write as Sera directs the group, though are interrupted by a news alert on Sumire's phone that reports Eito Hojo, jailed for felony assault, has been released from prison on good behavior. Saying she feels unwell, Sumire leaves the room and Hakuno follows.

Hakuno comes in, though the other voice in the room states Sumire is not present; Hakuno talks instead to Hitori, and the two discuss the possibility of revealing this secret to the others for fear that hiding it will put the group in danger. Hakuno does not wish to be the one to have to tell them, though Hitori also protests, unwilling to expose Sumire's trauma to the rest of the group for fear they will pity her, before expressing doubt at even being a real person.

Hakuno attempts to provide reassurance and goes to touch Hitori, though he recoils. She asks him if he set the alert on Sumire's phone, which he confirms, though he doesn't know why he did so. He admits he shouldn't be reopening old wounds, but there are some things he cannot forgive, which reminds Hakuno of her own experiences with her parents. Hakuno relents, but assures Hitori again that she'll support him when he's ready, and leaves the room to tell the rest of STΔRLIVHT everything is okay.

A week later, Sera reviews the group's contribution to the song, though an annoyed Hakuno notes that the selected pieces are mostly Grace's. She tells Sera that the song should include contributions from all of them, which Sumire and Grace agree with. A Noise Beast interrupts and attacks, which Sera dispatches.

Afterwards, Sera agrees to hear the others out, though quickly grows frustrated and claims they should have brought in better material, saying she's tired of them acting like they can do less. Irritated, Hakuno tells Sera she thought she was "above this kind of stupid favouritism", and leaves the room. Sumire follows Hakuno, and reminds Sera that she should apologize.

Grace too expresses concern with Sera's behaviour, and Sera falls apart, telling Grace of her worries about everything that has been happening, being unable to hold herself together. Grace reassures her, reminding Sera she too is a person with limits, and that she deserves a break; she hugs Sera, and offers her support, and Sera resolves to apologize to Sumire and Hakuno.
