NOISZ STΔRLIVHT is a free game, though there is a paid element to it - namely, COINZ, Support Tokens (primarily for supporting development and for purchasing certain titles), and Passes, all of which can be accessed in the shop in the top right hand corner. There are two, technically three kinds of passes - the Club Pass, the Event Pass, and the Superstar Pass, which contains all 4 Club Passes and the Event Pass at a discount, as well as granting increased (1.5x) EXP/Item Drops below LV 10 for each character.
- The game and the entire story can be experienced for free; no story content is gated behind a purchase. It just might be slower then those who bought passes due to the increased EXP and Drops.
- The Superstar Pass becomes unavailable for purchase after starting True Heroes, and does not include Joker Pass.
Club Passes
Club Passes effectively turn a free-to-play game into a full premium game. There are four Club Passes: Clover, Dia, Heart, and Spade. These match the four characters (Grace, Sera, Sumire and Hakuno) respectively. A fifth Club Pass, Joker, is added for the respective character after clearing Chapter -1.I.
Each character's Club Pass unlocks 3 exclusive songs for their folder, increases their EXP and Drops permanently, increases COINZ Boost limit to 4, enables Challenge Mode, unlocks Hard difficulty charts instantly (rather than having to score an A or above on Normal for each one), and halves respec costs.
Prior to version 2.000 there was a cheaper option for the Club Passes which was a 30 day subscription that grants the benefits for the duration of the subscription period.
Event Passes
Event passes unlock a particular Ephemeral Event for permanent use; this includes its associated Style, the associated Event Song, and Event Mode, allowing players to play the Ephemeral Event songs for Crowns at any time.
Ephemeral Event 01 - BEATDOWN is an exception, for its event song Mirror is available for free via SL Link (as a solution to previous licensing expiration).
Note that if you purchase the Superstar Pass after having purchased at one or more Event Passes and/or Club Passes, the cost of the passes you already own will be deducted from the final price. The display price will be adjusted accordingly.
VIP Passes (no longer present)
Before the shop was revamped in version 2.000, the VIP Passes were available for purchase. Like the Club Passes, a VIP Pass only applied to its respective folder/character(s). Each VIP Pass offered the same benefits as its respective Club Pass, in addition to: automatically unlocking all Overload charts for its folder, granting a special swimsuit Style (in the case of the Heart VIP Pass, one for Sumire and one for Hitori), and halving Style respec material cost. Certain titles previously required owning VIP Passes.
In the version 2.000, the VIP Passes were removed. The exclusive Summer Styles and Maso-Passes (which unlocks all chart difficulties in the applicable folder) were made available for purchase in the Support shop. Any titles that required the VIP Pass now require owning the matching Summer Style.
