The player character throughout most of the story. A diminutive girl in a wheelchair and former accountant. One day, she receives the strangest promotion of her life...
A tirelessly hard worker who prefers to do things behind the scenes. Though she has no experience as an idol producer, she prides herself on her greatest skill: learning new skills.
Lately, she's been plagued by some very strange dreams...<ref>https://anarch.games/starlivht/character.html</ref>
The Producer is the protagonist of NOISZ STΔRLIVHT and the character that you control. She was an accountant at Antiphon before unusually getting promoted as a producer to manage the idol group, STΔRLIVHT.
History
Not much is known about Producer, other than that she supposedly worked at Antiphon as an intern around the end of her high school years, and performed to such a degree that she was immediately hired as an accountant for the company after graduating. Shortly afterward, she was assigned to STΔRLIVHT as their producer.
Story
NOISZ STΔRLIVHT
Chapter 0
Formerly an accountant at Antiphon, now the producer of idol group STΔRLIVHT as part of Antiphon's new entertaiment venture, Producer begins her first day on the job, and meets the four members - Grace Kamenashi, Sera Hoshikawa, Sumire Hitori and Hakuno Nekoda. Depending on player choice, when the members of STΔRLIVHT share secrets, Producer may reveal that she likes girls.
On the day of STΔRLIVHT's debut performance at the Budo Garden, Producer receives a call in Chapter 0.III from her superior at Antiphon, Beyond, via an old phone in her office. Noting that she is there as a "substitute", Beyond explains to Producer that the group is the main part of the "experiment", Noise Beasts are corrupted music that are part of the phenomenon known as the Silencing, and that the NOISZ/RS that STΔRLIVHT use is an imitation of the original NOISZ. She states that they will have to reveal their secrets to each other in order to fully utilise it via the power of bonds, and that it still drains their soul when used. In addition, she explains that Producer's role in STΔRLIVHT's story was self-determined rather than randomly chosen, though she opted to erase any memories of making such a choice. Assuring Producer that they are on the same side, the call ends. The next day, Producer relays the contents of the calls to STΔRLIVHT, though Sera displays an open distrust of her still, and asks her to "come clean"; Producer insists she has nothing to hide, and a disappointed Sera warns her not to let anything happen to STΔRLIVHT before walking out of the room. |
Chapter 1
Concerned at the increasing Noise Beast attacks as STΔRLIVHT settle into their routine, Producer decides to put in a request to Antiphon in Chapter 1.IV about remotely linking up STΔRLIVHT's NOISZ/RS. Before she gets the chance to call, Beyond calls first, informing Producer that the app has just been completed. Producer accepts this, and asks how Sumire fought a Noise Beast by herself. Beyond tells her that it is possible for NOISZ/RS to be used alone, though it can greatly reduce the user's lifespan, or can be used at a reduced power. She also explains the idea of conceptual time—that while music travels at the speed of sound, because corrupted Noise Beasts are mere concepts, they can theoretically move at light speed. NOISZ users can do the same, and become concepts themselves, meaning they can take on whatever appearance they desire. Beyond digresses, and informs Producer that Sumire has likely done permanent damage to herself, and Producer ends the call. |
Chapter 2
In Chapter 2.II, Producer invites the new lead of SUNRaiSE, Shion Nekoda, into the STΔRLIVHT office; however, it results in a huge row between her and her sister Hakuno. Realising her mistake, Producer escorts Shion out of the office. Later on, in Chapter 2.III, Producer watches SUNRaiSE's redebut with its former lead Yumi Hitori in the wheelchair accessible section, and the two get to talking about their sisters. A sudden, mysterious headache occurs when Producer attempts to remember details of her sister, and so simply replies that her sister is sick and in the hospital when asked about her.
In Chapter 2.IV, Producer has a dream: the members of STΔRLIVHT, locked in combat with Gaius Antiphon in the Antiphon building basement. They are in front of the portal to another world, and die over and over - thousands, if not more. There are minor changes in the way they die, but then she catches a glimpse of Gaius being impaled by a blade. However, this does not last long, and the cycles return to STΔRLIVHT dying in combat. The dream ends, and the Producer calls Sera to warn her not to fight Gaius. Sera is caught off-guard and assumes the Producer is talking about her encounter with Gaius. The two seem to have two different conversations about Gaius entirely, though they both wave it off and continue with their daily work. |
Chapter 3
STΔRLIVHT is put on hiatus as Sumire becomes unavailable due to her DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) causes her to switch alters, with Hitori fronting in her place and Sumire nowhere to be found.
In Chapter 3.II, Producer sits at her desk doing paperwork; a news report about Firebird comes on, noting that the police are suspicious of Eito Hojo being the only fatality. She decides to call Beyond, concerned that Sumire will be viewed as a suspect. The two discuss the high possibility of her being Firebird, and Beyond tells Producer that Antiphon can simply end the police investigation with its influence over them. Beyond also notes that Producer's job as an accountant was real. Producer is hesitant to believe her because of her memory being tampered with. In response, Beyond explains that, while real memories can be removed, false ones cannot be added, saying that the human brain rejects them like a dream. She says the issue with Sumire will likely sort itself out soon, and ends the call as Producer continues filing paperwork. The issue is resolved in Chapter 3.IV when Sumire and Hitori defeat a powerful Noise Beast. Producer updates Beyond, who reacts with interest, informing her that the plan is moving into the next phase, asking her to bring Sumire for a test to gauge her power as a NOISZ user. Producer expresses doubt on the aim of the project and the causes of the Silencing, asking Beyond who she is and what she wants once more, bringing up the name "Arisa Antiphon", believing it to be the "A. Antiphon" name signed on STΔRLIVHT's scouting letter. Beyond replies that her end goal is revolution. |
Chapter 4
Chapter 4.I picks up right after Chapter 3.IV as Beyond continues explaining her plan to Producer; the plan to kill Gaius Antiphon to stop him severing the connection between this world and the World of Music, opting to enact a plan to repair the boundary between these worlds instead to prevent the Silencing. She states that the dreams Producer had of STΔRLIVHT fighting Gaius in the Antiphon building basement and dying over and over were not dreams; they were visions of possible futures. Beyond expands on this, and tells Producer that she herself had dreams of STΔRLIVHT before she'd even seen their faces, and that dream was what prompted Beyond to seek them out at the HI-LIVE to scout them out to begin with. She warns Producer that the moment she remembers the truth, her life will come to an end.
In Chapter 4.II, depending on player choices throughout the playthrough, Hakuno may develop feelings for Producer and ask her to hang out. If she confesses, Producer sheepishly remarks that she cannot date the talent. Hakuno posits the idea of waiting till she is no longer "the talent" to date, though Producer neither confirms nor denies this as a possibility, and advises Hakuno to put it out of her thoughts. In Chapter 4.III and Chapter 4.IV, Beyond takes STΔRLIVHT to an Antiphon lab for a "checkup" on their souls, to assess their power as NOISZ users; however, Producer opts to stay behind and do paperwork in her office. Later on that day, STΔRLIVHT return to the office, and inform Producer that the checkup was uneventful; like getting a checkup at an ordinary doctor's practice. |
Chapter 5
In Chapter 5.I, Beyond advises Producer on how to proceed with the Clash of Twilight—a contest between STΔRLIVHT and SUNRaiSE in which the loser is forced to disband—and urges Producer to ensure STΔRLIVHT lose, to keep them out of the public eye in preparation for their final battle with Gaius Antiphon. However, Producer refuses, determined to make sure her idols do their best, and Beyond relents, casually remarking that she'll figure something out. |
