Strategies

On Hard and above, this song has a fakeout at where the chart would end on lower difficulties, extending the verse for more than 1:30 with a very heavy danmaku section at the end of the verse. It is very recommended to use Hakuno's Burst.

This section can be divided into the following patterns:

Bullet streams with blackout: Stay in the holes between the streams. This pattern is followed up by a variant with bullet gates after each stream.

Pinwheel: Mostly identical to the pinwheel in the beginning of verse 1. After the spinner, lasers cover the entire screen, starting from the middle. Go to the edge of the screen, and RS-DASH at the same time the lasers in the middle shoot.

What parade: Whats appear in the bottom of the screen, shooting facing down kunais upwards, while the boss shoots big round bullets. Focus on the kunais, due to their more strict hitbox, and use diagonal motions in the opposite direction as the kunai patterns to dodge this pattern.

What parade with pinwheel: Whats now shoot less kunais, but they are combined with a pinwheel. It is completely viable to do the entire spin, but you can RS-DASH from the top-left before reaching the middle point, making the pattern easier to manage.

Tetris ending: A number of bullet gates drop from the top, stacking up at the bottom of the screen. Be mindful of where the hole of each gate is and follow the pattern. After these gates, the boss shoots a burst of small, aimed bullets. Stay on the borders of the available space, and focus on micrododging. After this burst, 3 final bullet gates drop, so be ready to dodge that.

These strategies are mostly the same on Overload, with minor changes.

Trivia

  • The pattern of “What” the Cats along the bottom of the field is officially called "moonwalk."[1]
  • At the time of release of the song, nitro provided a rhythm infographic describing the BPM changes and time signatures of each part.[2]
