2ECONDS TO STΔRLIVHT: My Heart's Reflection

Shortly before middle school, Hakuno is accidentally sent both the boys' and girls' uniforms. Tired of being dressed like a boy, Hakuno wears the dress to the school, but is quickly ridiculed by teachers and students alike, the latter of which spreading rumours about her, labelling her "trespasser". Eventually, Hakuno is cornered by two of the school's most popular students, Rise and Ai, who cut Hakuno deep with spiteful words about her and her family.

Before they can escalate, they are confronted and slammed into a locker by another student - their friend Sumire - and Hakuno runs out of the school distraught in the meantime. Sumire follows her and comforts her, walking her home and exchanging numbers; the two of them become friends, and Hakuno returns home to her energetic sister Shion teasing her about talking to girls.

Eventually, Sumire and Hakuno decide to form an LGBTQ+ club at school, which attracts two members: Rhyme and Han. From then on, they meet at Tuesdays and Thursdays in an abandoned classroom for the next few months as the Flaming Pride Friendship Squad, and eventually have a picnic at an abandoned theatre.

However, these days do not last as the club receives a note threatening to out Han, Rhyme and Hakuno as trans to their parents unless the club breaks up, and so the club is forced to break up. Shortly afterwards, Hakuno returns home and comes out to her parents, who kick her out of the house, and she stays at Sumire's house for the night. Afterwards, Hakuno moves to the big city to live with her aunt, Heather Valentine, though the two of them remain in contact over text, as well as with Rhyme and Han. When the two reunite years later, Hakuno has fully transitioned, much to Sumire's joy.

NOISZ STΔRLIVHT

Chapter 0

Hakuno adjusts to STΔRLIVHT's new management under Producer and Beyond after they are all provided with the NOISZ to fight Noise Beasts, and Hakuno grows closer to the rest of the group, revealing her own secret that she is trans and likes girls.

Chapter 1

Sera struggles with the workload as leader of STΔRLIVHT in Chapter 1.III and friction arises between Hakuno and Sera over a new song they have been commissioned to write, resulting in an argument. Around the same time, learning of the release of Eito Hojo, the abusive ex-boyfriend of her sister Yumi, Sumire suddenly disappears into the locker room, and Hakuno follows, only to find Hitori. The two of them converse about the viability of revealing the truth about Hitori, and Hakuno leaves it to him, though assures him once more - both that he's real, and that she considers him her best friend.

Sera apologises for her behaviour in Chapter 1.IV, and Hakuno accepts, reminding Sera that she follows her because she want to - and that Sera's dream isn't just hers, but all of STΔRLIVHT's.

Chapter 2

Invited in by Producer, Shion Nekoda, the new lead of SUNRaiSE, visits the STΔRLIVHT office in Chapter 2.II and finally comes face to face with her sister Hakuno; however, reminded of her parents and her time under them, she is unhappy to see Shion, resulting in a fiery confrontation between the two, each of them saying things they regret - Hakuno refusing to go back "to that house", and Shion calling Hakuno fake. Sera, Grace and Sumire comfort and support Hakuno.

Sera visits SUNRaiSE in Chapter 2.III to apologise - though Shion vows to crush STΔRLIVHT. Later on, a Noise Beast attacks at practice, but Hakuno finds herself unable to summon the NOISZ, remembering what Shion had said, and Sera steps in, though she reassures Hakuno that she is not a fake - that they have her back.

Chapter 3

In Chapter 3.I, Hitori wakes up in Sumire's place to find he can no longer hear her, and Hakuno is forced to explain the truth - that Sumire has DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder), and that Hitori is an alter of hers. Later on, Hakuno visits her aunt Heather Valentine, and catches up with her new intern - Rhyme, her old friend.

Depending on player choice, in Chapter 3.II either visits Hitori to check up on him with or without Rhyme, or visits the STΔRLIVHT office for extra practice. If she visits Hitori alone, the two of them grow closer as Hitori opens up to Hakuno. If Rhyme is invited, the three of them hang out together and go out shopping, cheering Hitori up considerably, and if Hakuno goes to get in some extra practice in, she lets her guard down slightly around Producer; in all three circumstances, a Noise Beast attacks, and Hakuno finds herself able to summon the NOISZ again, fending it off with her newfound confidence.

In Chapter 3.IV Hakuno learns Sera is her blood sister, as her father is also Yashiro Nekoda, the result of a one-night stand between him and Setsuna Hoshikawa, and Hakuno resolves to be a good big sister for Sera.

Chapter 4

In Chapter 4.I, Hakuno asks Grace for advice on her love life, who encourages her to ask the object of her affections on a date, or to hang out, depending on who she likes, between Sumire, Producer, Hitori, and Rhyme. In Chapter 4.II, she spends time with her crush, though unfortunately, things don't work out - Hakuno and Sumire decide to remain best friends as Sumire isn't into girls, Producer is unwilling to date someone she manages, and Hakuno panics at the end of her date with Rhyme if Rhyme is selected and puts her walls up.

In Chapter 4.III and Chapter 4.IV, Beyond takes STΔRLIVHT to an Antiphon lab on the outskirts of town for a "checkup" on their souls, to assess their power as NOISZ users; however, the four of them are attacked by a Noise Beast set on them by Stornel, who had been waiting for them. Feeling it calling to her, Sera dispatches it, though the appearance of Genbu, a NOISZ Beast almost identical in appearance to Grace, catches them off guard.

Before they can react, Beyond holds a gun to Sera's head and tells STΔRLIVHT to enter a nearby machine; they do, and everything goes black.

Later on that day, STΔRLIVHT return to the office, and inform Producer that the checkup was uneventful; like getting a checkup at an ordinary doctor's practice.

Chapter 5

STΔRLIVHT is faced with a new challenge in Chapter 5.I: the Clash of Twilight, a competition between SUNRaiSE and STΔRLIVHT, composed of a series of musical performances culminating in a joint performance, with mini-polls at each stop; whoever loses the polls overall is forced to disband. However, in Chapter 5.III, Hakuno's father Yashiro outs her as trans to the press in order to turn things around for SUNRaiSE. Hakuno isn't too shaken, however, and soldiers on. Horrified that the situation has affected the poll, Shion visits the STΔRLIVHT to offer her forfeit, and she and Hakuno finally apologise to each other for everything, even though Sera rejects Shion's forfeit, reminding her that they can't let down their fans.

At the final show of the Clash of Twilight in Chapter 5.IV, shining brighter than ever before, STΔRLIVHT put on the performance of their lives with and against SUNRaiSE. STΔRLIVHT lose, and afterwards, they head to the Antiphon Building basement for the final battle with Gaius Antiphon.

Chapter 6

Hakuno and the rest of STΔRLIVHT face off in one final battle against Gaius Antiphon and his bodyguard, Stornel in the basement of the Antiphon Building - in front of the portal to the World of Music. While they appear to be successful, several swords emerge from the smoke, flying in Sera's direction; Grace pushes Sera out of the way and is impaled, dying in Sera's arms. A young Gaius steps out of the portal in front of them, and along with Sera, Hakuno vows to kill Gaius as many times as it takes to defeat him as Chapter 6 ends.

NOISZ STΔRLIVHT True Heroes

Chapter 5 (TH)

Hakuno is called in with the rest of STΔRLIVHT by Producer about how Beyond plans to have them fight and defeat Gaius Antiphon. While she and Grace are willing to fight, Hakuno and Sera refuse, leaving to continue practicing for the Clash of Twilight.

Later, Hakuno goes to Producer's office to talk about the recent events, unable to think of anyone else to go to. However, she finds the office to be completely empty. She seizes this opportunity to place cat stickers around the office, but finds something odd; the phone Producer uses to call Beyond doesn't actually work. Before she can ponder what's going on, a Noise Beast attacks, and Hakuno links with the others to fight it. After defeating it, Hakuno gives up on trying to solve it herself, and calls Sumire for help.

Hakuno later discusses what she'd discovered in Producer's office with Sumire. Grace interrupts to ask what they're talking about, but Sumire tells her it's secret. As she and Hakuno leave the changing room, the two discuss how Hakuno feels like she's falling behind in finding love, seeing how quickly Grace and Sera had found each other.

Sumire assures her she doesn't have to worry, as she'll find someone she likes in time. Hakuno admits she's afraid she'll die before she has the chance due to what the group is caught up in, but Sumire tells Hakuno she won't let that happen.

In NOISZ STΔRLIVHT/Story/Chapter -1.II, Hakuno appears before Joker after fighting Byakko. She tells Joker she isn't the kind of person who would send STΔRLIVHT to die, and assures her she'll understand her role in this eventually.

During a practice session, Sera comments on Hakuno's improvement. Hakuno admits she's been practicing at home, having found a reason to become an idol-to save Shion.

Chapter VS

Hakuno receives a panicked call from Shion, telling her that her family's apartment is on fire. Hakuno gives her the address to her aunt's apartment and promises to meet her there. She hangs up and enters conceptual time, rushing to the burning apartment. She sees Shion, frozen outside, and tells her things will be okay before heading inside.

Among the flames, Hakuno finds a figure brandishing a flaming sword over Yashiro's unconscious body. Recognizing the figure, Hakuno attempts to dissuade Firebird from killing Yashiro. She says that Firebird doesn't need to bloody their hands for her over her father, but Firebird refuses to back down. Realizing what must be done, she and Firebird duel.

As Hakuno fights Firebird, she attempts to call out to them as Hitori. However, when her claws break Firebird's mask, she realizes the person under it is someone else entirely. Firebird explains that Sumire and Hitori's separation was never a clean one, and that occasionally they would fall through those cracks and be consumed with anger. Originally, this was all Firebird was, until Beyond approached them with an experiment to bring out both Sumire and Hitori at once to create the ultimate NOISZ user. Hakuno notes that Firebird doesn't resemble Sumire or Hitori, which Firebird agrees to. Despite this, Firebird still believes in their justice, and tells Hakuno to stand aside once more.

As Hakuno struggles against Firebird's onslaught, she wonders if she's become too dependent on Sumire over the years. However, she decides that relying on others is not a weakness, but a strength. She tells Firebird that even though they aren't fighting alone, she isn't either, and defeats Firebird.

Firebird laments how Hakuno has everything they lack, but Hakuno tells them she'd share those with them, assuring them they're still her best friend despite their rough start. She also realizes why Firebird is so insistent on their judgement of Yashiro; Eito's death still weighs heavily on them, even though they know it was the right thing to do in that moment. Hakuno tells them that they can talk to her about these things, and that they don't have to face them alone.

Firebird warns Hakuno that killing Gaius won't be any different. Hakuno admits it won't, but has resolved to fight anyways for the sake of her family and friends. Firebird offers to put the flames out, but Hakuno declines, and the two drag Yashiro to the door. Hakuno warns Firebird not to do this again, but says she's happy she got to meet them regardless.

The next day, Hakuno stumbles into Producer's office alongside the rest of STΔRLIVHT, exhausted from the previous night's events. As Sumire is unable to remember the previous night, Hakuno explains the fight she had against Firebird that night. Producer notes their link data has gotten stronger, and gives the girls the rest of the day off. While the others leave to rest, Hakuno stays behind to get more practice in.

Hakuno finishes her practice right as Sumire texts her to tell her she's doing better. Sumire is still dealing with the feelings the night before brought, and Hakuno decides to go over to help her. She stops at a convienence store to grab snacks, and arrives at Sumire's apartment with them in tow.

Hakuno notes that Yumi isn't home, which Sumire clarifies is because she's staying over at Asuka's for the night. Sumire and Hakuno decide to have their own slumber party while she's away. Hakuno notes Sumire is looking better, and offers to let Sumire talk about the recent events to try and help her. Sumire admits the entire situation has brought up feelings she didn't know she had-such as the anger she felt when she saw Yashiro had outed Hakuno to the press. She feels as if she's relied on Hitori and Firebird to handle these emotions while she lives a carefree life hiding behind them. Hakuno tells her she still does a lot herself, and admits she also has parts of her she doesn't want to acknowledge, like her jealousy over Shion.

Hakuno reaffirms Sumire she doesn't have to face these feelings alone; she has her, Hitori, and now Firebird to help her. Sumire still feels as if she's caused too much trouble for everyone, but Hakuno assures her it's not a bad thing. The conversation dies down, and the two sit in silence until Sumire reaches for more chips. The two stay up late chatting, Hakuno happy she could be a source of strength for Sumire as well.

As Hakuno finishes practice and heads home, she bumps into Rhyme as they leave. Hakuno stops them and takes them to her room to talk. Rhyme apologizes for running, wanting to be good enough for Hakuno. Hakuno tells them she's just happy they're here, to their relief. They admit they're used to people being scared of them, having protected themself as a kid by beating down others who tried hurting them, and worried Hakuno was also scared of them now. Once they joined the Flaming Pride Friendship Squad, they'd wanted to be someone who could protect others, especially Hakuno. They know, however, that Hakuno has someone who'd already do that for her, and that she likely still has feelings for her.

Hakuno admits she still does, but wants to try anyways. She admits she'd been nervous when Rhyme attempted to kiss her during their date, and hadn't been ready for it. She apologizes for shoving them away without explaining, but Rhyme refuses, saying they ran off before she could. The two laugh over the memory, and Rhyme asks Hakuno if she'd like to try again. Hakuno, though nervous, decides she wants to try. The two share their first kiss, and their second shortly after, finally confessing their love for each other.

As STΔRLIVHT shuffles out of the office, Hakuno asks Producer if she's thought about the two of them being a couple. Producer admits she has, but is concerned about hurting Hakuno due to the power imbalance. Once things are over, however, Producer is open to trying if Hakuno is still willing by then. Hakuno promises she won't change her mind and swears she'll make Producer happy.

As Hakuno returns from practice, her aunt notices her exhaustion, and tells her to take a break. Hakuno attempts to insist she's fine, but Heather refuses to back down, telling her Shion wouldn't want Hakuno to run herself down for her. Hakuno attempts to tell Heather she's no better, but Heather says she doesn't want Hakuno to end up like her. Hakuno finally agrees to take a break.

At the final show, Hakuno reflects on how far the group has come with the others. STΔRLIVHT performs their group chant and perform their last show for the Clash of Twilight.

After the show, STΔRLIVHT crowds together with Producer in her office to wait for the final results. When the results come in, showing the event ended in a perfect tie, the group decide to celebrate the result.

Chapter 6 (TH)

The day before the final fight, Producer notices the artificial Noise Beasts have all been shut down. STΔRLIVHT, taking it as a sign that Gaius is inviting them to finish this, decide to fight him the next day, bringing Producer with them.

The group arrive to see Gaius finishing the device that will separate the World of Music from the human world forever. Gaius orders Stornel to fight the group, and Sumire and Hakuno step up to fight him.

After the fight, Gaius takes the NOISZ from Stornel and fights Grace and Sera.

As Sera seemingly finishes Gaius off, Producer warns that he isn't dead yet. Gaius then emerges from the smoke, revealing the NOISZ's greatest power: Imprinting. He reveals that the souls on his belt are what he uses to fuel the power, having taken them from citizens of Neo Metro who signed away their lives for healthcare.

Enraged, STΔRLIVHT swears to defeat him, but are all exhausted from the fight. Grace attempts to buy time for them to recover, and Producer calls out to the group to link with her as she fights Gaius herself.

Producer is defeated, and the pain of Gaius' attack spreads to the rest of STΔRLIVHT. Despite this, Grace struggles back up and begins deflecting his attacks again. Ultimately, though, she is unable to keep deflecting, and is killed by six blades impaling her as Producer unleashes the Final Burst.

As Grace resurrects herself as a NOISZ Beast and Joker warns the group that Gaius has been possessed by the Void Crystal in the NOISZ, the group all resolve to help Grace and Joker defeat Gaius for good, despite the risk of being exposed to Grace's NOISZ Beast aura.

After Gaius' defeat, Joker congratulates the group, but warns them their fight isn't over yet; in two years, Alpha will fake her defeat and escape. In order to defeat her once and for all, STΔRLIVHT will need to fake their deaths and go into hiding for those two years. STΔRLIVHT agrees to do it, and Joker explains they'll be placed into medical stasis for those two years to keep them in top shape and heal off any damage from Grace's NOISZ Beast aura, though Grace offers to stay awake in-case something happens. The group then leave the building and head to an auto-car planned ahead of time, where Hakuno tells her loved ones she'll be traveling for the next two years.

At the stasis chamber, the group decide to hold an impromptu wedding for Grace and Sera at Sera's request.

As Sumire and Hakuno admire the scene, the two decide to try to find their own loves after they wake up. Sumire then asks Hakuno if she is afraid of the sleep ahead. Hakuno says she stopped worrying about things she cannot change, and that she plans to figure it out after defeating Alpha. She then promises Sumire they still have a future, and that they'll always be best friends. Reassured, Sumire returns the sentiment.

As the group is put to sleep, Joker asks Hakuno to wait for a bit, saying that STΔRLIVHT is currently not an idol group. Grace leaves to give the two privacy as they find the words for what they want to say.

Hakuno feels that, while STΔRLIVHT was picked up to fight Noise Beasts and defeat Gaius, Joker had still done her best to support them as an idol group. She admits that seeing Joker work so hard for them is part of what made her love being an idol, and that she wants to continue being one when they come back. She asks Joker if she'll go out with her.

Joker says yes, and the two kiss for the first and last time.

After the wedding, Hakuno is put to sleep with the others.

NOISZ Final

As Hakuno is awakened with the rest of STΔRLIVHT, she immediately recognizes the main character as Han, though the main character says they've been going by a new name. Regardless, she and Sumire are happy to re-unite with them, Hakuno being jealous of their new cat features.
