Level Gimmicks
Many patterns mirror the song's lyrics in some way. These include:
- A circular pattern of slashes around a round bullet during the lyric "the city's cogs forever turn."
- (Normal and Hard only) There are invisible notes in the chorus. First, you play a pattern of notes, and then, the same pattern appears again immediately afterward, but this time, it is invisible. This may be in reference to the general theme of relying on the past in the first chorus. The pattern is mirrored in one instance to reflect the lyric "mirror-laden halls."
- On the lines "have we been blind" and "stumbling half-blind," the notes are temporarily hidden.
- A group of slashes notes appears in V3 that require going up then down, in time with the lyrics "a wish that carries through the rise and then the fall."
(Only on Overload) This chart features notes with the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, & 8 on them. Similar to galaXXy brain, you must select the correct option from 4 notes. These correspond to the number order shown at the beginning of the song (the order shown at the beginning is fixed, meaning that it’ll be the same every time you play the chart).
Strategies
For the invisible notes sections, pay close attention to each pattern. Keep an ear out for the lyrics to make sure you don't miss the mirrored pattern.
On Overload, because the order and position of the numbered notes is always the same, you can memorize it. If you find yourself forgetting the numbers, here are a few memory tricks for remembering in a pinch: the odd numbers are on the left side, and the even numbers are on the right side. The sum of the numbers in the first 3 lanes is 8 (3+5, 1+7, 2+6), and the last lane is 4 then 8.
On Overload as well, lowering your Scroll Rate in the options menu may be useful if you find yourself struggling to read the numbers on the lanes.
Lyrics
★ Ever flashing lights, the mask of urban paradise
★ Days left behind as the city's cogs forever turn
★ Have we been blind to all the paths before us?
★ Did we really think that we can't have it all? |
★ Won't you believe in us
★ Shining like the sunlight through the clouds?
★ I want to dream, never wake me up
★ These gentle lies will one day overwrite the truth |
★ Hello yesterday, your echoes in my heart
★ Will show the way, through twists and turns bygone
★ And if we laugh and say, we've surely made it through
★ You know we'll meet again at dawn |
★ Hello yesterday, another page will turn
★ When can we see beyond these mirror-laden halls?
★ If only we believe in promises of days long gone
★ I know fate will light my way |
★ With covered eyes and chains of concrete binding us
★ Time after time, our routines and dreams get all mixed up
★ Stumbling half-blind on the path that's laid before us
★ As we heed a lie that we can't have it all |
★ Won't you remember when
★ We were shining brighter than the sun?
★ I want to dream, so come dream with me
★ These gentle lies will one day overwrite the truth |
★ Hello yesterday, this treasure in my heart
★ Will show the way, whenever we feel lost
★ And if we laugh and say, we've surely made it through
★ You know we'll meet again at dawn |
★ Hello yesterday, another spark will shine
★ A wish that carries through the rise and then the fall
★ If only we believe in promises of days long gone
★I know fate will light my way

Trivia
- Waves of round bullets on the lyrics "Won't you believe in us" and "won't you remember when" resemble the patterns that appear during the chorus of Rise Above.
- The flower-like kunai bullet pattern at the end of the song is a reference to the similar bullet patterns from re:||VERSE and re:||BIRTH.
- The Noise Beast is similar to LIVHT MY WΔY and LIVHT MY WΔY (Kurokotei Remix), however the snake is wearing a top hat and the turtle is wearing a monocle.
- chiisana, the vocalist of this song, is also the character voice for Arietta and Joker. This song also acts as a character song for Joker.<ref>keternal confirming light my way being an original song for Joker</ref>
