Story Context
Shortly after Sera defeats the blue dragon Noise Beast, Stornel is nowhere to be seen. The room starts collapsing. Beyond and the girls escape by racing towards a nearby hallway.
As they head further into the lab, they all can hear footsteps and encounter Genbu, a NOISZ Beast that has a similar appearance to Grace. Genbu engages in combat with the girls. With no other choice, Grace takes on the NOISZ Beast.
Level Gimmicks
This song has an unusually high amount of boss PW compared to other Chapter 4 songs.
Many patterns are based on or taken from those in VANDALIZED AI, most notably a tamer version of VANDALIZED AI's "Get Caved (Savage)" pattern in Lure V4.
Strategies
Many of the patterns that appear in one verse reappear in future ones, so memorizing the route for those is important.
The opening pattern is dense, but the round bullets are aimed. Determine a speed and direction of movement that allows you to safely lead them out of the way.
During the rings pattern, if you don't feel confident in moving to the current ring's gap, holding your position toward the bottom gives you leeway to use the RS-DASH to phase through it.
In Verse 2, the kunai paths with holds behave consistently. Multitasking the hold with the bullets can be tricky, but practicing it will make performing both patterns come more automatically.
When the laser walls appear, first, move horizontally at roughly the same speed as the lasers. On Hard, staying at about the same height as the first slash will keep you safe during the first pass. When the direction change occurs, on Hard and above, you want to loop around a round bullet then weave around afterward. Remember to keep your horizontal movement at around the laser walls' speed while you weave through.
As the short blackout occurs, be mindful of where the kunais are. Try to get yourself into a good position and decide how you want to move before the screen dims.
In Verse 3, when the laser wall reappears, it is mirrored from its appearance in V2.
While kunais descend with stuttering groups of large round bullets, be aware that the hitbox on the large bullets is smaller than its outermost outline. Camping at the bottom can help by maximizing your time to react.
Alternatively, you could dodge this pattern by relying on the RS-DASH, but this method is extremely inconsistent. To do this, tap a gap area away from the round bullet groups once a beat roughly to the beat. Ideally, you want your dash active while the round bullets are present and to reach the dock when they are not.
In Verse 4, dense lines of kunais appear while targeted round bullets are shot. Move very slightly to lead the targeted bullets while keeping in-between the kunais.
Get Caved (Savage) has earned its name for good reason, and just because this home version lacks Blue Void bullets doesn't mean its danger and lethality are lacking. Keep an eye out for openings, and seize them when you can. Using your character's NOISZ Burst can be helpful in mitigating damage from this pattern, especially Hakuno Nekoda's, which is able to shield bullets. With SS SPC, Paradox Felid can last through most of the pattern.
Lyrics
Trivia
- Many of the patterns in Lure share similarities with Genbu's other appearance in combat, VANDALIZED AI in the arcade version NOISZ ARC⌖CODA.
- One of the clearest shared patterns is the dense pattern with waves of kunai moving in one direction and round bullets in the other in Verse 4, referred to in VANDALIZED AI's tougher version of the pattern as "Get Caved (Savage)."
- The enemy preview in the song selection menu will not show until the song is unlocked in story mode.
- With the release of NOISZ STΔRLIVHT True Heroes (version 3.000), Lure was down-rated from 13.0 to 12.5.
