Level Gimmicks

Like its NOISZ re:||VERSE counterpart, this song incorporates gimmicks from many other songs in the game. In this case however, the gimmicks are referencing NOISZ STΔRLIVHT songs instead, as well as the original chart.

This song exclusively features flick notes, only appearing in Hard and Overload. This song also features down slide notes (all difficulties), and halved notes (only in Overload).

Verse 1

  • A kunai spread like the original chart.
  • Remember the price of different items, like No Hints Here!. Like the original chart, these prices are asked at the end of the song.
    • In Overload difficulty, instead of tap notes for the answers, the player is required to go through a void bullet maze like NULCTRL EX to hit the corresponding slash note.
  • A platforming segment, like No Hints Here!.
    • In this chart however the segment is vertical, instead of horizontal.
    • During the platforming segment, several Whats will appear from the sides, like WHAT THE CAT!?, as well as different What themed obstacles: Thwhats and Kaizo Whats.
  • A bullet segment with the slowed down movement from halved halved halved.
    • In Overload difficulty, this segment features the bullet sphere surrounding the player like the end of BADSECRET Overload V4, except with void bullets instead of red ones.

Verse 2

  • ANNIHILATOR's bullet and laser pattern.
  • Valkyrius:0's kunai and laser pattern.
  • DIAGRAM's fading out bullets pattern.
  • Lure's tamer version of VANDALIZED AI's "Get Caved (Savage)".
  • A void snake pattern segment, like Forged In Darkest Abyss.
    • The void snake in Hard difficulty is accompanied by a stretched out What called Long Daniel. In Overload difficulty, Long Daniel becomes a long void bullet (known as Void Dennis).
    • During this pattern, several Whats will appear from the sides, like WHAT THE CAT!?.
  • A fishing segment, like No Hints Here!.
    • This fishing segment features a tension meter, causing the line to break if pulled for too long.
    • During this segment there are also kunais, which must be dodged by the player and also the fish while being pulled.
  • Two crossing laser segments like the original chart. The direction to dodge the lasers will be indicated by slide notes, or flick notes in Hard and Overload.

Verse 3

  • A Lights Out puzzle, to be solved like halved halved halved's puzzles.
    • If the player takes too long to solve the puzzle or pauses while in the middle of it, Distracting Daniel will appear.
  • A dense bullet pattern, similar to the "Get Caved" pattern in the original chart. During this segment, the player hitbox becomes much smaller.
    • On Overload difficulty, the "Get Caved" pattern includes Ktern's BURST ACTIVE (similarly to Chapter VS) which stops the player's burst from activating.
  • In Overload difficulty, a number of long, small and fast Void Dennises will appear at the end of the chart if you fail the memory quiz, as well as a big What like at the end of WHAT THE CAT!? V4. The screen will fade to black, but the snakes will still follow the player for a number of seconds before the chart finally ends.

Strategies

Lights Out puzzle

The Lights Out puzzle in V3 can always be solved in 3 moves. It is recommended to wait to press the final button, because a kunai pattern will start by solving the puzzle.

The layout of the puzzle varies between difficulties:

Easy

Only one 3x3 pattern in different rotations. The goal is to turn all buttons blue.

Hit the button in the center, and the two red buttons on the corners.

Normal

Two possible 3x3 patterns in different rotations. The goal is to get a checkered pattern or red and blue buttons.

Hit the straight line of red buttons between the two blue buttons.

Hard

Overload

Kanae additionally created a program to practice all available OL puzzle configurations that can be found here. Translated by aluto.

DSAF title

A title exists in the game obtained by clearing this song with DSAF stats (no matter which stat is which letter). One possible way of obtaining these stats is to build Crimson Heat Sumire in a certain way:

  • V-IGNITION unlocked
  • Level 44
  • 2 stat points into ATK (becomes SS+)
  • 2 stat points into SPC (becomes AA)
  • 1 stat point into PW (becomes 475)

With these stats, playing this song on Easy will make them turn into D HP, S ATK, A SPC and F TEC.

It is also possible to apply this same build to a level 50 Crimson Heat Hitori. The main difference between these two builds is the lack of healing abilities, due to Hitori's Burst.

Another possible build would be getting D, S and A stats on any style, and then using Challenge Mode with the "One random stat reduced to F" challenge for the remaining stat.

It is also possible to build any Antiphon Armament style to fit these requirements.

Trivia

  • D.S. al fine, along with LIVHT MY WΔY, Pure, and LAST⌖ARC, are the only songs currently that are in both the original NOISZ series and NOISZ STΔRLIVHT.
    • Technically, while Quicksilver is in both games, the songs used are different versions.
  • D.S. al fine was, at one point, intended to be a reward for purchasing all 5 Club Passes.
    • Instead, the NOISZ SL credits song by Getty will take its' place.
  • As a Hard 12, this song has the highest difficulty rating in the Hard slot.
    • The Hard was originally rated 11.5 but in version 3.024, it was re-rated to 12, and its boss PW went from 875 PW to 900 PW accordingly.
    • This song is tied with with my (last+1) breath for this.
  • This song is the first to have the highest boss PW possible, at 999 boss PW on Overload.
  • D.S. al fine has the second highest base PW currently in the game, at 375.
  • D.S. al fine is currently the only song in NOISZ STΔRLIVHT with void bullets to have more then one verse.
