Story Context

While the group are practicing their new song, “galaXXy brain”, a Noise Beast intrudes.

Level Gimmicks

In the chart, there are many math problems that show up during the song. There are 4 different types of questions: arithmetic, “Which one is prime?”, “Which one is divisible by X?”, and a final solve for X equation at the end of the song. To answer these questions, a set of 4 notes with numbers scroll down from the top of the screen that require you to tap the right note(s) that has the same number as the answer to the problem. If you answer the question wrong, you take damage. How hard the math problems are and how many answers you have to tap at once scales on the difficulty of the song.

For “Which one is divisible by X?” questions, there are some divisibility rules that you can use to quickly find out if a number is divisible by another:

Divisor	Condition
2	The last digit is even (0, 2, 4, 6, or 8).
3	Sum the digits. The result must be divisible by 3.
4	If the tens digit is even, the ones digit must be 0, 4, or 8. If the tens digit is odd, the ones digit must be 2 or 6.
5	The last digit is 0 or 5.
6	It is divisible by 2 and by 3.
7	Subtract twice the last digit from the rest. The result must be divisible by 7.
8	Add the last digit to twice the rest. The result must be divisible by 8.
9	Sum the digits. The result must be divisible by 9.

For “Which one is prime?” questions, you can either use the tricks for divisibility or memorize some of the prime numbers. Since the answers are all under 100, you only need to memorize the first 25 prime numbers:

For the quadratic equation in Hard Verse 4, it is recommended to solve it by factoring:

ax2 + bx + c = 0
(px + q)(rx + s) = 0

x^2 - 2x - 15 = 0
(x + 3)(x - 5) = 0
(x + 3 = 0) or (x - 5 = 0)
(x = -3) or (x = 5)

Lowering your Scroll Rate on the game options helps with this song since it gives you more time to think about the answers.

Keep in mind that while you can pause the game to get more time for thinking, this will change all the answers to ”?”, so you will need to remember which answer was which as well.

• The titles “GalaXXy Brain” and “Brain Genius” are only obtainable from this song.
  • For the GalaXXy Brain title, get a grade of SS on the Hard chart while getting a grade of SS on the Overload chart will award the Brain Genius title.
• Previously, you could cheese the math questions by pausing the song, since the answers would still be shown instead turning into question marks like they do now.
