Gaining popularity through a variety of live acts in Japan and abroad, and after appearing on several compilations for different labels, he released his 1st album “SPEEDCORE DANDY XXX” in 2003. m1dy is known his for his duality of music, with the overall impression of extremely fast and destructive, but with pop twist, which has made him popular quickly around the globe. Later releases and his presence in the club music scene was well received, gaining followers from around the world that still continues to grow. While he no longer performs live, in 2010 he was invited to play at CLUB NOKIA in Los Angeles as part of Anime Expo, North America’s largest Japanese culture convention. Since 2013, m1dy also has been providing several music for “beatmania IIDX series”, further boosting his popularity. As of the mid-2010s, he shifted from speedcore and splittercore to thrashkick, a DJ-focused subgenre of speedcore.<ref>https://m1dy.com/</ref>
