Tacet Forest is a forest within the World of Music. It is near Ossia Town. Naga lives in Tacet Forest and serves as its protector.
Tacet Forest is never-ending and has many winding paths. Without knowledge of the correct path, trying to navigate the forest is an exercise in futility, as you will inevitably end up right where you started. The forest only has one exit.
In NOISZ episode G, it is stated that any path can work so long as one is confident it is the correct one. Otherwise, one is doomed to stay lost.
The Tacet Forest is the location in the World of Music that is most closely connected to the human world.
Trivia
- Taking a certain path through Tacet Forest in Story C of NOISZ Ignition (Forward, Forward, Back, Back, Left, Right, Left, and Right) will reveal a deeper section of the woods. There are two large monoliths, each with a handprint on it. Pressing the one labelled "B" and then the one labelled "A" will reveal a portal.
- This portal leads to the area of Tacet Forest that was decimated during Gaius Antiphon's invasion of the World of Music.
- In NOISZ re:||VERSE, Marziale mentions that the aforementioned path is said to be a ritual that increases one's lifespan thirty times over, in reference to the effects of the Konami Code in Contra.<ref>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Konami_Code</ref>
- Using the Konami Code in NOISZ episode G during its Tacet Forest segment has no effect.<ref>NOISZ episode G - Stage 3G</ref>
- The name "Tacet Forest" is in reference to the musical term "tacet" (Latin for "(it) is silent"), used in sheet music to denote when an instrument or voice does not sound. It is typically used for rests lasting a long period in orchestral scores but can mark shorter sections, as seen in more modern music like Jazz.<ref>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tacet</ref>
