Story
Red Route Vision
Gaius Antiphon confronts Stornel and Remora about the falsified safety data on the report. Remora confesses to modifying the data and states Stornel had no knowledge of it. Gaius praises this bold move to forward science and reveals that he had a device constructed to Remora's specifications. Gaius forces Stornel to test the device, and it kills him in a matter of seconds.
He orders Remora to help him finish the device, threatening to sue her over Stornel's death if she refuses.
Later, Arietta asks Remora for her thoughts on a design of hers. Remora wants to help the sisters both for Beyond's sake and to atone for what she has done. Despite this, Remora asks Arietta to reconsider her Void Beast concept, saying that it would require getting blood on her hands. Arietta retorts that Remora has already done that before. Remora freezes up, and Arietta states that she knows that Remora's falsified data ultimately killed Stornel- Arietta intends to blackmail Remora with this fact like her father Gaius did before her.
Before she carries out Arietta's request, Remora asks if she is really still Arietta. The being possessing her answers that Arietta hasn't been in control of her body for quite some time.
Arietta's voice-over cuts in, apologizing to Remora. She empathizes over being trapped and forced to do horrible things. She wants to believe that, someday, they'll get their chance to make things right.
Blue Route Vision
Gaius and Beyond Antiphon have a discussion. Gaius states that the N Project has been terminated, and that he is disappointed in Kaharu's failure of leadership. She tries say something, but Gaius cuts her off. He assures her that "he's" been "cut loose" and won't bother her anymore. Kaharu argues back with her father's insults in her head, saying she's done the best she could with the high-pressure circumstances, but she doesn't dare say anything out loud. She nods along and awaits her next assignment, as she needs to keep the job, or her sister Arietta Antiphon would become Gaius' successor.
Later, Kaharu is crying out for Remora, staggering into Remora's lab with Arietta Antiphon slung over her shoulder, somehow still awake despite her wounds. Finding her, Kaharu explains they were at the portal in the basement, and Remora worries their wounds will have strange properties. Remora states she'll complete first aid and then evaluate the damage. Kaharu nods as she finally faints.
Remora informs Kaharu that the entire composition of her body and Arisa's body have completely changed. Kaharu and Arisa will need special equipment to stay in stable condition, and since this has not happened to anyone, Remora intends to work on it herself. Remora asks Kaharu and Arisa to keep special cloths wrapped around their wounds to contain the corruption, having seen some strange happenings on the other side of the portal herself.
Kaharu asks for their prognosis. While Remora is uncertain, she guesses that the two's bodies will slowly decay and that Arisa has less time remaining than Kaharu due to the location of her corruption. Kaharu is alarmed and begs Remora for ideas. She reluctantly reveals that the N Project was completed, and Stornel died in a lab accident while developing it.
Kaharu blames herself for this, and Remora notices. She asks her to stop; after all, her father is the one who made the stakes as high as they are for her. In this moment, Kaharu resolves to run the company better than her father ever did, to go "beyond Antiphon."
Kaharu asks Remora to help her run from home, which she agrees to, allowing her and Arisa to stay with her.
Main Story
After experiencing a vision, the main character enters the Void, looking for Alpha.
If you choose to challenge Alpha to a dance-off, you will enter Stage X7.
Otherwise, they call out for Alpha, and she appears. She fantasizes over the despair caused when she destroys them and how it will birth the perfect piece of music.
The main character is appalled that so many people have suffered and died for a piece of music, but Alpha asserts that pain and suffering is what makes the greatest and most memorable art. The main character argues that happiness can create art just as good, and that even if it fades, they can create new happiness in it's place. The main character claims that Alpha doesn't understand humans, but she claims she understands them as she is the first Noise Beast, who has watched over humankind for millennia.
The main character intends to stop this for the sake of everyone they care about, and begins the final battle against Alpha.
