NOISZ (Game)/Grades

In most songs, grades are a combination of verse clears and lives lost; exceptions are marked at the end.

In Easy/Normal/Hard difficulties, a verse is considered cleared if the health bar is +0% or higher. The grades are as follows from lowest to highest; you get the highest grade for which you satisfy the requirement:

F	Fail at least 3 verses, or fail all verses of a song (if it has less than 3 verses).
C	Fail exactly 2 verses (if the song has at least 3 verses).
B	Fail exactly 1 verse (if the song has at least 2 verses).
A	Clear all verses.
AA	Clear all verses, and have total overflow +200% or higher.
S	Get AA, and have no red damage by the end of the song.
SS	Get S, and take no damage at all during the song.

In Overload difficulty, there is no concept of clearing verses. The grades are based only on your total overflow.

A	Clear all verses.
AA	Clear the song, and have total overflow +600% or higher.
S	Clear the song, and have total overflow +1200% or higher.
SS	Get S, and take no damage at all during the song.

The exceptions for the above are generally related to special, story-related songs:

Song	Notes
Insomnia	The boss has 10x health than usual. Therefore, a verse is cleared if the health bar is -90% or higher (less negative), and the AA requirement is total overflow of -340% or higher. (In Overload, total overflow +60% for AA and +120% for S.)
Beyond The NOISZ	Only one verse, and it's impossible to get an F: if you don't have enough damage near the end of the song, you will die to void lasers.
multiVerse	Only one verse with forced death at the end. So F is impossible, and you get an A for reaching -899% or higher, even if you then die. AA is -699% or higher. S is -699% or higher, and you must survive until the final void lasers.
