NOISZ ARC⌖CODA/Styles

NOISZ ARC⌖CODA features all of the styles present in NOISZ Ignition and NOISZ re:||VERSE except Infinity Style, alongside the new arcade-exclusive Exceed Style.

All styles from NOISZ Ignition and NOISZ re:||VERSE only display their Skill A in the preview, but the Skill B abilities are active.

NOISZ ARC⌖CODA does not have Modules.

Dancer

Dancer
Base Damage +0% Unlock Condition Default
Base Lives 6 Skill A AUTOFIRE -Automatically shoot or shield on the beat without having to press any button.

Press SHOT or SHIELD to toggle between shooting and shielding.

Base Difficulty 0
Character Beyond Skill B ASSIST MODE - No damage penalty for losing lives, as long as you still have at least 1 life.

During Overflow, deal 0.5x damage.


Blaster

Blaster
Base Damage +0% Unlock Condition Default
Base Lives 5 Skill A CHARGED SHOT - After absorbing 4+ blue bullets in a single beat, the next shot is charged (2x damage and +4 combo).
Base Difficulty 2
Character Beyond Skill B DESPERATION - No damage penalty when at 1 life.


Crash

Crash
Base Damage -5% Unlock Condition Default
Base Lives 3 Skill A CRASH MODE - Press SPECIAL or SHOT+SHIELD: Enter Crash. For the next 4 beats, all shots are charged, and shield absorbs both colours but gives 0 combo.
Base Difficulty 3
Character Arietta Skill B FINAL CRASH - Gain 32 combo on falling to 1 life. No damage penalty even when Crashing (even at 0 life).


Although not mentioned on the style's description, when absorbing 4 or more bullets with the shield, shooting the next beat will increase Combo by 4 rather than 1, similar to Blaster Style's Charged Shot.

As well, Crash Style can gain Combo during its invincibility frames, similar to the effects of Core Module in NOISZ.

Mega

Mega
Base Damage -5% Unlock Condition Default
Base Lives 4 Skill A BUSTER SHOT - Hold SHOT: Charge up your attack. Release on 2nd-4th beat to increase damage and combo gain. Lose 2 lives if hit while charging.
Base Difficulty 3
Character Arietta Skill B RED SHIFT - Timing window for shot and shot release is increased.


Parry

Parry Style differs from its appearance in NOISZ re:||VERSE, likely to account for NOISZ ARC⌖CODA's nearly always active Lethal rate. It takes the characteristics of a previous version of Parry Style.<ref>https://twitter.com/noiszgame/status/1148821430869667840</ref>

Harmonic

Exceed

  • Absorb blue bullets to charge Exceed Gauge. Gauge doesn't reset on combo down or hit.
  • Each bullet absorbed charges the gauge by 1 charge. The gauge can hold up to 16 charges.
  • At full gauge, shots deal +15% more damage; scales linearly with smaller gauge.

  • Hold SPECIAL: Enter Exceed Mode. While in Exceed Mode, shield continuously and shoot every 1/4 beat.
  • Exceed Mode uses up the gauge by 1 charge every 1/4 beat, deactivating instantly when it runs out. You can still absorb blue bullets to charge during Exceed Mode.
  • At full gauge, shots deal +50% more damage in Exceed Mode; scales linearly with smaller gauge.

Song-specific Styles

Beyond The NOISZ

On Easy, Normal, and Hard of Beyond The NOISZ, you use Limit Breaker. The first five of its lives count for white damage, and the last five count for red damage.

On Overload, the red damage lives are removed, and the style's name is changed to Void Breaker.

Void Breaker

Base Lives 5 Skill A CHARGED SHOT - After absorbing 4+ blue bullets in a single beat, the next shot is charged (2x damage and +4 combo).

Base Lives 10 Skill A Z-CHARGED SHOT - After absorbing 4+ non-void blue bullets in a single beat, the next shot is charged and turns void bullets blue.
Base Difficulty 5
Character Beyond Skill B Z-DESPERATION - No damage penalty for losing lives. When at 1 life, shots deal 1.25x damage.


re:||VERSE

The first five of its lives count for white damage, and the last five count for red damage.

Zeta Crash
Base Damage +0% Unlock Condition Only available during re:||VERSE
Base Lives 10 Skill A Z-CRASH MODE - Press SPECIAL or SHOT+SHIELD: Enter Crash. For the next 4 beats, all shots are charged, and shield absorbs all colors (including void) but generate no combo. Absorbed void bullets give -4 combo.
Base Difficulty 5
Character Arietta Skill B Z-FINAL CRASH - Gain 128 combo on falling to 1 life.

No damage penalty when Crashing.


Although not mentioned on the style's description, when absorbing 4 or more bullets with the Crash Mode shield, shooting the next beat will increase Combo by 4 rather than 1, similar to Blaster Style's Charged Shot.

Options

Movement Speed

Toggle Flash - Tap the Flash button to change between regular and faster (Flash) movement speed.

Hold Slow - Faster (Flash) movement speed is now the default. Hold the Flash button to move at regular movement speed.*

Hold Flash - Regular movement speed is now the default. Hold the Flash button to move at faster (Flash) movement speed.*

*(The "Hold Slow" text is a translation from Japanese. The exact wording on the English version of NOISZ AC may differ. The "Hold Flash" text is extrapolated from the Hold Slow text)

  • Lunatic Style was added in the version 1.1.0 update (which also added Course GREEN?).
