Styles determine the primary skills active during stages in NOISZ.

NOISZ Ignition

Dancer

Dancer
Base Damage +0% Unlock Condition Default
Base Lives 6 Skill A AUTOFIRE -Automatically shoot or shield on the beat without having to press any button.

Press SHOT or SHIELD to toggle between shooting and shielding.

Base Difficulty 0
Character Beyond Skill B ASSIST MODE - No damage penalty for losing lives, as long as you still have at least 1 life.

During Overflow, deal 0.5x damage.


Blaster

Base Lives 5 Skill A CHARGED SHOT - After absorbing 4+ blue bullets in a single beat, the next shot is charged (2x damage and +4 combo).

Character Beyond Skill B DESPERATION - No damage penalty when at 1 life.


Crash

Character Arietta Skill B FINAL CRASH - Gain 32 combo on falling to 1 life. No damage penalty even when Crashing (even at 0 life).


Although not mentioned on the style's description, when absorbing 4 or more bullets with the shield, shooting the next beat will increase Combo by 4 rather than 1, similar to Blaster Style's Charged Shot. This shot is not a Charged Shot and will not deal the increased damage of one, however. This mechanic is not present on the style's implementation in NOISZ re:||COLLECTION G on the Nintendo Switch.

As well, Crash Style can gain Combo during its invincibility frames, similar to the effects of Core Module.

Mega

Base Lives 4 Skill A BUSTER SHOT - Hold SHOT: Charge up your attack. Release on 2nd-4th beat to increase damage and combo gain. Lose 2 lives if hit while charging.

Beyond The NOISZ

On Easy, Normal, and Hard of Beyond The NOISZ, you use Limit Breaker. The first five of its lives count for white damage, and the last five count for red damage.

True Lunatic
Damage +0% Skill Gives CHARGED SHOT and CRASH MODE.
Gain 32 combo on starting a verse or reaching Overflow.
Instant death on getting hit or scoring below SS grade.

True Lunatic behaves identically to True Lunatic in the re:||VERSE DLC, except this iteration of the Style does not trigger any overflow effects (no difficulty increase, pre-overflow combo scoring, no combo reset).

It displays as Infinity Style with Lunatic Module, which is the combination that results in True Lunatic outside of Stage X3.

The first five of its lives count for white damage, and the last five count for red damage.

You cannot shield with this Style.

While the shot laser has the appearance of a Charged Shot, it does not give the additional Combo of a Charged shot; however, the Charged Shots do deal the extra damage of a regular Charged Shot.

NOISZ re:VERSE

Harmonic

Infinity

This style appears red in the Style Lab, but Beyond is the character associated with it. This is an exception to the color of a style matching its associated character.

Character Beyond Skill B Z-DESPERATION - No damage penalty for losing lives. When at 1 life, shots deal 1.25x damage.

Although not mentioned on the style's description, when absorbing 4 or more blue void bullets (can be on consecutive shield inputs), the next shot turns void bullets blue.

re:VERSE

The first five of its lives count for white damage, and the last five count for red damage.

Zeta Crash
Base Damage +0% Unlock Condition Only available during re:||VERSE
Base Lives 10 Skill A Z-CRASH MODE - Press SPECIAL or SHOT+SHIELD: Enter Crash. For the next 4 beats, all shots are charged, and shield absorbs all colors (including void) but generate no combo. Absorbed void bullets give -4 combo.
Base Difficulty 5
Character Arietta Skill B Z-FINAL CRASH - Gain 128 combo on falling to 1 life.

No damage penalty when Crashing.


Although not mentioned on the style's description, when absorbing 4 or more bullets with the Crash Mode shield, shooting the next beat will increase Combo by 4 rather than 1, similar to Blaster Style's Charged Shot.

As well, Zeta Crash can gain up to 128 Combo during its invincibility frames.

Infinity Styles

Infinity Style is unlocked by clearing Course ULTIMATE or higher.

The characteristics of Infinity Style are solely dictated by what module is equipped with it.

Exceed Style

Exceed Style
Damage +0% Skill Absorb blue bullets to fill the Exceed Gauge.
Hold SPECIAL to enter Exceed Mode, spending gauge for a powerful shielded attack!

Character Gaius Skill B Proto Crash - SPECIAL: Lose 16 Combo. Longer dash with shield that absorbs both colors. No Combo gain from absorbs.

All songs in the episode G DLC lock your style to Proto Style.

Although not mentioned in its Style description, Proto Style gains 16 Combo on hit or Overflow.

As well, with specifically Core Module, Proto's damage is +30%.

Like Crash Style, Proto Style can gain Combo during invincibility frames, up to a maximum of 64 Combo.

Proto Style's Proto Crash skill protects against all sprite damage/contact damage from Enemies and boss hitboxes.

Story-Specific Styles

Angel Style is a story-locked Style designed for use as an accessibility option. It is only available when selecting "Beg for Mercy" on Easy difficulty in Story Mode.

Angel Style grants Charged Shots and Crash Mode. It has 6 lives and a +0% damage modifier. Lives are not reduced when getting hit.

When combined with Angel Module (by selecting "Beg for Mercy" on Super Easy Mode), Void bullets deal 1 damage on hit instead of causing an instant Game Over.

NOISZ ARC⌖CODA Exclusives

All styles from NOISZ Ignition and NOISZ re:||VERSE only display their Skill A in the preview, but the Skill B abilities are active.

NOISZ ARC⌖CODA does not have Modules.

Parry (AC)

Parry Style differs from its appearance in NOISZ re:||VERSE, likely to account for NOISZ ARC⌖CODA's nearly always active Lethal rate. It takes the characteristics of a previous version of Parry Style.<ref>https://twitter.com/noiszgame/status/1148821430869667840</ref>

  • Hold SPECIAL: Enter Exceed Mode. While in Exceed Mode, shield continuously and shoot every 1/4 beat.
  • Exceed Mode uses up the gauge by 1 charge every 1/4 beat, deactivating instantly when it runs out. You can still absorb blue bullets to charge during Exceed Mode.
  • At full gauge, shots deal +50% more damage in Exceed Mode; scales linearly with smaller gauge.
