NOISZ (Game)/Styles and Modules

A variety of styles are available for use when playing stages in NOISZ. The selection differs between the base game and with the DLC because the DLCs introduce new modules and styles to the game. NOISZ ARC⌖CODA has its own selection of styles, featuring an exclusive and Parry style with behavior from its previous iteration.

Does not include styles present in NOISZ STΔRLIVHT; see NOISZ STΔRLIVHT/Styles.

Base Game

These styles are available in the base game of NOISZ, subtitled NOISZ Ignition.

Styles

Dancer

Base Damage +0% Unlock Condition Default
Base Lives 6 Skill A AUTOFIRE -Automatically shoot or shield on the beat without having to press any button.

Press SHOT or SHIELD to toggle between shooting and shielding.

Base Difficulty 0
Character Beyond Skill B ASSIST MODE - No damage penalty for losing lives, as long as you still have at least 1 life.

During Overflow, deal 0.5x damage.


Blaster

Base Lives 5 Skill A CHARGED SHOT - After absorbing 4+ blue bullets in a single beat, the next shot is charged (2x damage and +4 combo).

Crash

Base Lives 3 Skill A CRASH MODE - Press SPECIAL or SHOT+SHIELD: Enter Crash. For the next 4 beats, all shots are charged, and shield absorbs both colours but gives 0 combo.

Character Arietta Skill B FINAL CRASH - Gain 32 combo on falling to 1 life. No damage penalty even when Crashing (even at 0 life).


Song-Specific Styles

You are forced to use the listed style on its song. Song-specific styles cannot use modules.

Beyond the NOISZ

On Easy, Normal, and Hard of Beyond The NOISZ, you use Limit Breaker. The first five of its lives count for white damage, and the last five count for red damage.

Infinity

This style appears red in the Style Lab, but Beyond is the character associated with it. This is an exception to the color of a style matching its associated character.

NOISZ ARC⌖CODA

Exceed Style is exclusive to the exA-Arcadia game NOISZ ARC⌖CODA. As of now, it is the only arcade-exclusive style. All styles are available by default. Styles only display their primary skill in most circumstances, but all styles also present in Ignition and re:||VERSE are identical to their appearance there, except for Parry style. There are no modules in NOISZ ARC⌖CODA.

Character Stornel Notes Behaves like a previous version of Parry formerly present in NOISZ re:||VERSE.

Exceed

Lives 5 Skill Absorb blue bullets, and fill up the Exceed Gauge. You can enter Exceed Mode at any time using the Special button to defend against blue bullets and use powerful attacks.
Character Arietta Notes How much of the Exceed Gauge is used in Exceed Mode depends on how long you hold the Special button for. The blue shield during Exceed Mode grants Combo for absorbed blue bullets. Every beat Exceed Mode is active grants 1 Combo each. Exceed Mode can last a maximum of 4 beats when fully charged.

Options

Toggle Flash - Tap the Flash button to change between regular and faster (Flash) movement speed.

Hold Slow - Faster (Flash) movement speed is now the default. Hold the Flash button to move at regular movement speed.*

*(The "Hold Slow" text is a translation from Japanese. The exact wording on the English version of NOISZ AC may differ).

Trivia

  • Ghost Style+ and Flash Style+ are references to early styles in NOISZ Ignition - Ghost Style and Flash Style respectively. These two styles were retooled to become Core Module and Flash Module, with the main traits carried over (Chroma Shift for Core Module and Beserker for Flash Module).
