Gimmicks
Throughout the song are various math questions. When math questions appear, so do lasers. To answer a math question, you move into the laser of the correct answer. Moving into the laser of the incorrect answer will result in taking damage. The difficulty of the math depends on your difficulty. The title "Math Genius" increases the difficulty of the math to that of the song's Overload difficulty.
Strategies
The math questions throughout the song require the ability to do math quickly on the fly. On the easier difficulties, the questions are basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with only up to three digits. However, harder difficulties require knowledge of exponential functions, square roots, algebra, trigonometry, and calculus, all done within a quick time frame. Make sure your knowledge of these mathematical concepts is robust if you want to get an SS-Rank.
Alternatively, the questions requiring more technical knowledge pull from a set pool. It is possible to memorize the answers, and this is another route toward avoiding damage on Hard and Overload.
For clearing the song, Crash Style is highly advised, especially if you struggle with math.

- The math present in the NOISZ stage for π•ρ•maniac is a reference to Pump It Up Infinity's Mission Mode Zone 4: DMA's Perfect Math Class<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcXyTnjuUC0</ref>, which also features math in its chart.
- One of the creators of the mission, VKIM, is also part of the team that developed NOISZ.
- DM Ashura taught math in a university at the time the Pump It Up Infinity chart was made.
- Saving scores with Harmonic Style on this song was once disabled, due to the Style's red bullet shield nullifying damage from the quiz lasers.
- Scores were re-enabled in Version 2.2 when the red shield interaction was changed: the correct answer laser will damage you if you touch it with a red shield active.
