Story Context
In Story A, after the UFO breaks the gate in the forest, Karin takes the main character to someone she thinks can help get them home. They encounter a guard, who is sleeping on the job. Karin wakes her up, and Moca, sensing the main character's strength, insists on battling them.
In Story C, the main character reasons with Karin that they aren't going to hurt her. Hearing the commotion of the previous fight, Moca approaches the two. If the main character tells a bad joke, Moca responds by initiating a fight. Otherwise, Moca notices the main character's strength and asks to spar with them.
Gimmicks
Smaller robotic rhinos approach from the top of the field toward the player. Pairs of a blue and red laser appear. The hornlike bullets that appear at the bottom of the field spawn numerous blue bullets.
Strategies
Focus on avoiding the rhinos; they will damage you even while using Crash Style's special. Parry Style is recommended for S-Rank, and Polar Blaster for AA-Rank.
Chart Comparison
Flavor Text
Beyond: Watch out, those rhinos are robots! Robot rhinos are 30% more dangerous than real ones! I read that in a book, I think...
Arietta: Finding an impenetrable wall of bullets coming your way? Maybe you should pay attention to what you're shooting for once.
Stornel: Variety of attacks detected. A balanced build that maintains precise movement may be optimal.
Trivia
- According to the lead developer k//eternal in an interview with Phoebe[1], Robot Rhinos was the first stage created for NOISZ and served as a proof-of-concept for the game's core mechanics.
- Beyond's flavor text for Robot Rhinos was a placeholder that ended up in the final game.[2]
