Bio

A sheep girl the player meets in the World of Music. Somewhat bratty and impulsive, but ultimately a steadfast ally.<ref>https://twitter.com/noiszgame/status/1140667100178132992</ref>

Karin is a young sheep Noise Beast who lives in the World of Music. She is short-tempered and suspicious of new people, but this behavior is out of a desire to keep herself and those she cares about safe.

She likes to spend time with Moca. While Karin thinks she is a bit of a bonehead, she looks up to Moca as the one who protected her from humans.

Story

When the main character suddenly ends up in the World of Music, they meet Karin. The two of them travel through Tacet Forest toward a gate to the human world.

In Story A, Karin tries to activate the portal but gets interrupted by UFO. UFO breaks the gate. Karin takes the main character to Marziale's castle to use its portal. After meeting up with and fighting Moca, she continues along with the main character into the castle.

Karin comes with the main character into the human world. Karin heals the main character after their battle with Seiryu. As Arietta explains the whole situation, Karin grows increasingly angry and lunges at her. Arietta traps her within a single-use containment device.

In Story B, Karin tries to activate it with a melody. The main character summons the NOISZ. This confirms Karin's suspicion, and she transforms into her Noise Beast form to defend herself. After the battle, her energy is completely absorbed, and there is nothing left of Karin.

In Story C, Karin walks through the forest with the main character for a while. The main character suspects they got lost and tries to navigate through. If they succeed in reaching the depths of the Tacet Forest, they encounter two monoliths that form a portal. Going through this portal after the fight with Naga leads to the area of the World of Music that the human invaders ravaged, and Karin recalls how her parents were killed. If not, Karin remarks that the main character is lost. Either way, Naga finds them. Karin jumps back, afraid of snakes.

Karin seems to be wary of the main character after the fight with Naga. The main character and Karin make their way to a portal. As Karin tries to activate it, she's interrupted by a UFO. UFO breaks the gate.

Karin confronts the main character with her suspicions. She recognizes the power of the NOISZ as similar to the power that killed her parents. Despite the main character's best efforts to dispute this, Karin is still wary and attacks. The main character reasons with her after defeating her. Eventually, Karin calms down and trusts them.

Karin takes the main character to Marziale's castle to use its portal. After meeting up with and fighting Moca, she continues along with the main character into the castle.

When the main character returns to the human world, Karin follows them.

After Seiryu collapses, Karin tries to heal her, to no avail. Arietta explains the situation. Karin gets increasingly angry, eventually trying to attack Arietta. Arietta seals her within a single-use containment device.

NOISZ re:||VERSE

The main character finds Karin in one of the Antiphon labs. They try to break in, but fail and Remora tries to stop them. After defeating her, however, they enter the lab and free Karin. Karin joins the main character and travels to the World of Music with them. They accompany the main character all the way to Marziale's throne room.

At the throne room, Alpha reveals that during an attempt to turn Karin into a Void Beast, Karin rendered her body unusable by constantly healing it. Alpha imprinted Karin's soul and controlled her body through the entirety of her time with the main character. Alpha battles the main character in Karin's body.

In Endings 2 and 4, Karin is revived. In these scenarios, she is adopted by Stella and Luna, and the three live together as a family in Ossia Town.

History

Karin's parents were killed by Antiphon employees when Gaius Antiphon invaded the World of Music. Karin would have been killed too, if not for Moca protecting her.

Trivia

Although it is never mentioned in the game, Karin is canonically transgender<ref>k//eternal confirming Karin is trans</ref>, which is the reason why she has horns. Some ewes (female sheep) can have horns, but only a few breeds.
