Sumire talks with her best friends [[Rise]] and [[Ai]] by the lockers as Rise and Ai give her a handmade gift; eventually, the topic turns to a video Rise saw of someone falling over online, and afterwards, Sumire and Ai go to class, with Rise loitering in the cafeteria.
After class they reconvene, and Ai and Sumire make plans to bake together at the weekend. Shortly afterwards, Rise interrupts the conversation to speak ill of the new transfer student, Hakuno, and spread rumours about her; Sumire is deeply uncomfortable with the spiteful behaviour on display, and runs to the bathroom, bumping into the school's new transfer student on the way.
When she returns, Sumire finds Rise and Ai bullying Hakuno, and steps in to confront both Rise and Ai, visibly angry. After Hakuno runs off, Sumire follows her and comforts her, walking her home and exchanging numbers; the two of them become friends.
Eventually, the two of them decide to form an LGBTQ+ club at school, which attracts two members: [[Rhyme]] and [[Han]]. From then on, they meet at Tuesdays and Thursdays in an abandoned classroom for the next few months as the Flaming Pride Friendship Squad, and eventually have a picnic at an abandoned theatre.
However, these days do not last as the club receives a note threatening to out Han, Rhyme and Hakuno as trans to their parents unless the club breaks up, and so the club is forced to break up. Shortly afterwards, Hakuno's parents kick her out of the house for coming out to them, and she stays at Sumire's house for the night. Afterwards, Hakuno moves to the big city to live with her aunt, [[Heather Valentine]], though the two of them remain in contact over text, as well as with Rhyme and Han. When the two reunite years later, Hakuno has fully transitioned, much to Sumire's joy.

    • A wholesome presence who always brings warm hugs and cookies. A big sister-like little sister. Her kindly nature can turn volatile when facing bullies and other terrible people.

    Her older sister Yumi was a legendary idol, and she's aiming to carry on that legacy--the weight of which is greater than she'd ever imagined.

    Makes friends easily with her cheery personality. It's hard for anyone to see past the surface, though...[1]

    Sumire Hitori is a member of the idol group STΔRLIVHT. She has been best friends with Hakuno since middle school. She has a soft, easygoing personality, and it's in her nature to try to help others. She is hesitant to reveal her secrets. She has Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), and shares her body with Hitori, though Sumire is the main "host".

    She has been part of STΔRLIVHT with Hakuno, Sera and Grace since high school, first starting as a school idol club[2], and then becoming a formal idol group after being scouted by Antiphon at a HI-LIVE performance[3].

    Sumire looks up to her sister Yumi, who originally inspired her to become an idol herself.

    History

    Sumire's parents were killed in an accident when she was younger; after that, she went to live with her grandmother and Yumi. In middle school, she became best friends with Rise and Ai and became very close, as their parents knew each other.

    At some point between the main story of 2ECONDS TO STΔRLIVHT: My Heart's Reflection and the main story of NOISZ STΔRLIVHT, Sumire's grandmother passed away[4], and she now lives with Yumi.

    She attended Neo-Metro Music Institute with Grace, Hakuno and Sera, where they formed STΔRLIVHT.

    Styles
